Croatian Red Cross hosts transnational experience exchange workshop in Zagreb
In times of more frequent and long-term disasters and crises, improving disaster response capacities became significant for European emergency and volunteer organisations. One of the ways for improvement is by strengthening Psychological First Aid and Psychosocial Support competencies of staff and volunteers. The PFA-CE project aims to improve involvement and active participation of affected communities, families and groups in emergency response by training staff and volunteers and by improving community activation, as well as coordination and support for new volunteer types such as spontaneous volunteers. In order to improve experience exchange and networking and in view of gathering best practice in disaster response, a transnational experience exchange workshop will be organized from 29-30 November 2017 in Zagreb.
